How to Create Variables in Power Apps

Creating variables in Power Apps is quick and easy once you know where to start. Here’s how to do it step by step.

1. Click Insert on the right side of your screen.

2. Select the Button to add a button to your canvas.

3. Now, click the button and enter Set(myVariable, "Hello World") in the OnSelect property.

4. On the left side of your screen, select Text label to add a label to your screen.

5. Select the label, then enter myVariable in the Text property.

6. On the top right of your screen, click the Play icon to test your variable.

7. Click the Button, and if the label shows Hello World, your variable is working correctly—then you’re all set!
