This demo shows how to create a PowerPoint presentation from a text file using the Slides from Outline feature in Microsoft PowerPoint. Instead of building slides manually, you can import a structured text outline and let PowerPoint generate slides and bullet points automatically.
Steps
- Go to the Home tab in PowerPoint.
- Click the small dropdown arrow next to the New Slide button.
- Select Slides from Outline from the dropdown menu.
- Select your text file in the file picker dialog.
- Click Insert to import the outline into PowerPoint.
- PowerPoint will instantly generate a new slide for every top-level line and place indented lines as bullet points in the body text placeholders.
