Use this interactive demo to learn how to create multiple pages in Microsoft Forms.

‍

‍

Microsoft Forms uses sections to create multi-page forms, where each section represents a separate page for respondents. This organizes long forms and improves user experience.

‍

  1. On your Microsoft 365 main dashboard, click Apps to see all apps.
  2. Click on Forms to open Microsoft Forms.
  3. Open the specific form for which you wish to create multiple pages.
  4. Click Add new question to insert another field into your form.
  5. Select Section to group related questions and keep your form organized.
  6. Within a section, click + Add new question to add questions.
  7. Repeat Add new > Section to create additional pages—questions stay grouped per page.
  8. Click Preview to see how the form looks to your respondents.
  9. Ensure Next buttons appear at the bottom of each page to advance sections.

📌 Why this matters

Multi-page forms significantly reduce abandonment rates because they break overwhelming surveys into digestible chunks, making respondents more likely to complete them. You can also create conditional pathways where certain answers determine which sections appear next, essentially building smart forms that adapt to each user.

This transforms static questionnaires into dynamic experiences that feel personalized rather than generic. The psychological effect of seeing progress through multiple pages creates momentum, encouraging completion even for lengthy surveys that would intimidate users as single endless scrolls.
