Use this interactive demo to learn how to create a quiz in Microsoft Forms.

‍

‍

Microsoft Forms lets you design interactive quizzes with automatic grading, instant feedback, and real‑time results tracking. Here’s how to set one up:

‍

  1. On your Microsoft 365 main dashboard, click Apps to see all apps.
  2. Click on Forms to open Microsoft Forms.
  3. Select Quiz to start building a quiz.
  4. Enter a title and an optional description to explain the quiz.
  5. Click Quick start with to add questions, choose a type, and use quiz options to set points, correct answers, and feedback.
  6. Customize the design with the Style (paint palette icon) and use tooltips for quick guidance on settings.
  7. Review your quiz for accuracy and flow, then make edits as needed.
  8. Click Collect responses when ready, and share via link, QR code, email, or embed.

📌 Why this matters

Creating quizzes transforms one-way information sharing into engaging, measurable learning experiences. You can assess knowledge retention, identify skill gaps, and provide immediate feedback that reinforces correct understanding.

The real advantage lies in the automatic data collection - you'll discover which concepts consistently trip people up, allowing you to refine your training materials or teaching approach. Plus, the instant grading saves hours of manual scoring while giving participants immediate gratification, making them more likely to complete future assessments and retain the information longer.
