Use this interactive demo to learn how to create a personal view in Dynamics 365.

‍

‍

Here’s how to do it:

‍

  1. Start by opening 'Customers' from the sidebar and selecting 'Contacts'.
  2. From there, choose 'Edit columns' to pick which contact details you want displayed.
  3. If you need to build a new view, select 'Add columns' and choose the fields you want included.
  4. Choose which columns you want to display in your view.
  5. Set the sort order so your most important data shows up first.
  6. Hit 'Apply' to lock in your custom view settings.
  7. Click 'Edit filters’ to choose which contact details you want visible in your view.
  8. Then, select '+ Add' to include any filter criteria.
  9. Click 'Save' to confirm the changes.
  10. Click on the drop down arrow next to the view title.
  11. From the menu, select 'Save as new view'.
  12. Give your personal view a descriptive name.
  13. Click 'Save' and that's it! you're all set with your personalized Dynamics 365 view.

📌 Why this matters

Personal views transform your contact management from generic to strategic. You can instantly surface high-priority leads, segment customers by region or deal size, and eliminate the noise of irrelevant data.

The real power lies in creating multiple specialized views for different contexts - one for quarterly reviews, another for pipeline analysis, and others for specific campaigns. This means you spend less time hunting through default lists and more time acting on the contacts that matter most to your current objectives.
