How to Create a New Repl on Replit

This tutorial shows how to create a new Repl and set up a project in Replit.

Note: Replit has rebranded Repls to Apps - if you see "Create something new" in your dashboard, that's the same as "Create Repl." You need a Replit account to get started. Sign up at replit.com if you don't have one yet.

1. Sign in to your account at replit.com and go to your main screen.
2. On the dashboard, click + Create Something new (previously called Create Repl and/or Create App ).
3. In the prompt creation section, click the + icon to select a skill from the list - for example, SEO Auditor. You can add more skills as needed.
4. At the bottom of the chat prompt, choose the type of project you want to create - for example, Website. Use the suggested example prompt as a starting point, or describe what you want to build, then click the Arrow button to run. 
5. Replit generates the project files automatically and opens them in the editor. To make further changes, describe them in the Agent tab and the Agent will update your project.
