A Jira API token lets you securely authenticate third-party tools and scripts with your Atlassian account. You can create and manage API tokens directly from your Jira account security settings in just a few clicks.
Steps
- In your Jira space, head to the top-right corner and click your Profile icon.
- Choose Account Settings to proceed.
- Click the Security tab in your account settings.
- Scroll down to the API Tokens section, then click Create and Manage API Tokens.
- Click the Create API Token button to proceed.
- Enter a unique name for your Jira API token and set an expiry date.
- Click Create to generate the token.
- Once created, tap the Copy button to save your new Jira API token to your preferred location.
