This tutorial shows how to create a custom dashboard in Google Analytics by using the Reports snapshot to add, reorder, and save report cards with the dimensions you need. In just a few steps, you can tailor your analytics view to surface the most relevant data without leaving the GA4 interface.
Steps
- Navigate to Reports > Reports snapshot from the left-hand menu.
- Locate and click the Customize report button in the top-right area of the screen.
- In the side pane, reorder cards by dragging them into the sequence you want them to appear on the dashboard.
- Add Cards for any metrics you want to track that are not already listed in the default view.
- Select the data you want to view and add secondary dimensions to refine the report to your required level of specificity.
- Check the box to confirm your card selection.
- Hit Add Card to include the selected card in your dashboard.
- Reorder the newly added card toward the top so it is visible in the first few columns of the dashboard.
- Hit Save > Save changes to current report to apply and preserve your custom dashboard layout.
