Here’s a quick guide on how to connect Slack to Help Scout:
- Log into Help Scout and navigate to Manage on the navbar.
- Select Apps from the dropdown.
- Search and select Slack. And when prompted, hit Install.
- Connect your Slack account and hit Allow.
- Select which events you want posted to Slack. Choose a Slack channel for each Help Scout Inbox.
- Click Save to apply changes.
- Go to the Mentions tab and toggle it to Enabled.
- Then, map Help Scout users to their Slack usernames using the drop-down menus.
- To get notifications for unassigned conversations, select a user in the New Conversation @mention menu.
- Click Save to apply changes.
