Steps
- From your Zapier dashboard, select Zap to start building a new automation.
- Click on the Trigger field to begin selecting your trigger event.
- Search and select GitHub as your trigger app.

- Connect your GitHub account to authorize Zapier access.
- Configure the event details and click Continue to proceed.
- Click Test trigger to verify the GitHub connection returns sample data.
- Search and select Slack as the action app.
- Select an action event to define what Slack does when the trigger fires.
- Connect your Slack account to authorize the action step.
- Configure the action details and click Continue to finalize the setup.
- Click Test step to confirm the Slack action executes correctly.
- Once the test is successful, click Publish to activate your Zap.
