Quick summary
This demo walks you through building a Zapier automation that triggers whenever a new message is posted to a Discord channel and forwards it to Telegram using a bot token. It covers the full setup from creating a Zap to publishing the live integration between both platforms.
Steps
- Head over to the left-side panel, then click Create.
- Choose Zaps from the list of options.
- Click the Trigger tab to start the integration process.
- Search for Discord and select it from the suggested results.
- Click the Trigger Event menu to view the available options.
- Choose New Message Posted to Channel from the list of choices.
- Tap Sign In and log into your Discord account.
- Select the Discord server you wish to use, then tap Continue.
- Tick the permissions checkboxes you prefer to grant, then click Authorize.
- Provide the information needed to set up the Trigger accordingly.
- Click Continue to run your input and test the Trigger.
- Select the record you wish to connect, then click Continue With Selected Record.
- Search for Telegram and choose it as the Action app.
- Specify your preferred Action Event.
- Click Sign In to connect your Telegram account.
- Enter the Bot Token associated with your Telegram account, then click Yes, Continue to Telegram.
- Fill out the input fields with the necessary details related to the integration.
- Click Continue to proceed.
- Click Publish to enable the integration and connect Discord channels to Telegram.
