Quick summary
Cloning an epic in Jira lets teams quickly duplicate a fully configured epic without rebuilding it from scratch. Using the built-in Clone action, you can copy an epic's details, assignee, and linked items in just a few clicks.
Steps
- In the list view of your Jira space, find and select the epic you want to edit.
- Click Actions in the top-right corner of the epic.
- Choose Clone from the list of available options.
- Fill in all necessary information, including Summary, Assignee, and Reporter.
- Tick the checkboxes beside the items you wish to include in the cloned epic.
- Click the Clone button to proceed and create the duplicate.
- Confirm the cloned epic now appears in your Jira space according to your configuration.
