How to Change Status in Clickup

Steps

1. Go to the Space where the task is located.
2. In the List view, locate the task you want to update — the current status is displayed next to the task name.
3. Click the gear icon to open the Status settings.
4. From the statuses modal, select Use custom statuses.
5. To the right of a status, click the ellipses menu.
6. Select Rename, Change Color, or Delete Status as needed.
7. Click Apply changes to save your updated statuses.
