Quick summary
To change your Slack password, navigate to your Account Settings via your profile menu and enter a new password in the Password section. You can either save a new password directly or trigger a password reset email from the same settings page.
Steps
- Click your name in the bottom-left corner of the Slack sidebar to open your profile menu.
- Select the Profile option from the menu list.
- Click the three-dot icon on your profile panel to reveal more options.
- Choose Account settings from the drop-down menu to open your Slack settings page.
- Click the Expand option next to the Password section to reveal the password fields.
- Enter your current password and your desired new password, then click Save Password — or click Reset your password to receive a reset link by email.
