How to Change Email in TurboTax

Updated on:

Use this interactive demo to learn how to change your email in TurboTax.
  1. Sign in to your Intuit Account. Select 'Sign in and security'.
  2. You'll see the 'Sign in info' and select 'Email address'.
  3. Enter your new email address in the field. TurboTax will send a verification code to your new email.
  4. Update your email and select 'Save'.

📌 Why this matters

Updating your email keeps you connected to critical tax notifications, refund updates, and account security alerts. Your email also serves as your primary account recovery method if you forget your password or get locked out during tax season. When you change jobs, switch providers, or lose access to an old email account, updating this information prevents you from missing time-sensitive communications from the IRS or losing access to your tax returns when you need them most.
