Here’s how to do it:

Access your account on WordPress.com. Hover over your profile icon, click it and select 'My WordPress.com Account'.
Select 'Purchases' from the menu.
Open your payment method by clicking the arrow.
Click 'Cancel Subscription and Refund'.
Hit 'Cancel Subscription' to confirm and continue the cancellation.
