Regularly backing up Jira and Confluence data is essential for protecting critical project management and documentation assets against accidental deletion, data corruption, or service disruptions. Atlassian's built-in Backup Manager allows administrators to generate and download complete cloud backup files for both Jira and Confluence with just a few clicks. Having an up-to-date backup ensures teams can quickly restore their workflows, issue histories, and knowledge base content with minimal downtime. This process is a foundational best practice for any organization relying on Atlassian Cloud tools for day-to-day operations.
