Animating frames in Figma lets designers create interactive prototype transitions by connecting frames with triggers, actions, and animation effects in the Prototype panel. This step-by-step process takes just minutes and brings your designs to life without any external tools.
Steps
- Open the right-side panel and click the Prototype tab.
- Select the frames you want to animate in your Figma canvas.
- Hover over the starting frame, click the Add icon, and drag the connection to the destination frame.
- Set your preferred Trigger, Action, and Destination for the interaction.
- Click the Animation drop-down menu and choose the specific animation effect you want to apply.
- Complete the setup — the animation effect is now applied to the selected frames.
