Use this interactive demo to learn how to add sections in Microsoft Forms.

‍

‍

Adding sections is the best way to organize a long survey into logical "pages." This is particularly useful for SaaS feedback forms where you might want to separate User Demographics from Technical Feature Requests.

‍

  1. On your Microsoft 365 main dashboard, click Apps to see all apps.
  2. Click on Forms to open Microsoft Forms.
  3. Open the specific form for which you wish to create a Sinature.
  4. Click Add new question to insert another field into your form.
  5. Select Section to group related questions and keep your form organized.
  6. Click Add new question again to continue building out your form structure.

📌 Why this matters

Adding sections transforms overwhelming forms into digestible experiences that boost completion rates. When respondents see one focused topic per page instead of an endless scroll, they're more likely to finish. Beyond organization, sections enable conditional logic—you can show follow-up questions based on previous answers, creating personalized pathways through your form.

This means collecting more relevant data while reducing survey fatigue. For complex feedback forms, sections also let you gather sensitive information like demographics separately from technical details, making respondents more comfortable sharing honest feedback.
