Adding issues to a release in Jira lets teams track exactly which work items are included in each software release. This process takes under a minute using the Releases section and the Work Items Add button.
Steps
- In your Jira space, head over to the top navigation bar and click 'Releases'.
- Find and select the release you want to edit.
- Scroll down to the Work Items section, then click the 'Add' button next to it.
- Click the drop-down menu to browse available issues.
- Choose the issue you want to add to the release.
- Click 'Add' to apply the changes and confirm the selection.
- A confirmation message appears, and the new issue is now linked to the selected release in your Jira space.
