Adding a footer in Microsoft Excel lets you display repeating information — such as page numbers, dates, or custom text — at the bottom of every printed page. You can insert a footer in seconds using the Insert tab and the built-in Header & Footer tool.
Steps
- Go to the Insert tab in the ribbon and click Header & Footer in the Text group.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the worksheet to access the footer area.
