Steps
- In the board view of your Jira space, go to the top navigation bar and click the 'More Options' button next to the board name.
- Choose 'Board Settings' from the list of options.
- Click the 'Layout' tab in the left-hand panel.
- Select 'Columns' from the list of options.
- Tap the 'Add' button to proceed.
- Type 'Backlog' into the column name input field.
- Click the 'Check' icon to apply and save the changes.
- If you have existing work items, drag them from the Unmapped Statuses column onto the newly created Backlog column.
- The Backlog column is now added to your Jira Kanban board.
