How to Activate Github Copilot

You need an active GitHub account and a Copilot plan. Follow these steps:

1. Click the gear icon in VS Code to open your settings menu.
2. Select "Extensions" from the dropdown.
3. Type "GitHub Copilot" in the search bar to find the extension.
4. Hit "Install" on the official GitHub Copilot extension. Copilot Chat installs automatically too.
5. Click "Allow" to grant the necessary permissions and keep things moving.
6. Mark the required features as "Done" to complete the installation process.
7. Now click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
8. Select "Sign in to use AI features" to connect your account.
9. Choose your preferred sign-in method—GitHub account recommended.
10. Click "Continue" to confirm your selection and proceed.
11. Select "Authorize Visual-Studio-Code" to finish setting up Copilot.
