It is very easy to use the Cross Tab tool in Alteryx. Here’s a quick guide on how to do it in simple steps:
- Inside Alteryx's workflow designer, head over to the left-side panel and find 'Cross Tab'. Drag this tool onto the canvas and connect it to the Input Data tool or other sources.
- After that, go to the right-hand panel and start making the required configurations. To get started, specify the column from which you want to create a new one.
- Specify the column you want to populate with values.
- Subsequently, tap the 'Output Method' menu and choose one from the list of options.
- Configure the other necessary settings based on your preference. For instance, specify the Separator and Character Length you wish to set.
- If necessary, you may also group the columns according to a certain input. Simply tick the checkbox beside the field that contains the data you want to use.
- Finally, the Cross Tab tool will process your data and implement the corresponding customization based on your configurations.
