How to Use the Cross Tab Tool in Alteryx

It is very easy to use the Cross Tab tool in Alteryx. Here’s a quick guide on how to do it in simple steps:

1. Inside Alteryx's workflow designer, head over to the left-side panel and find 'Cross Tab'. Drag this tool onto the canvas and connect it to the Input Data tool or other sources.
2. After that, go to the right-hand panel and start making the required configurations. To get started, specify the column from which you want to create a new one.
3. Specify the column you want to populate with values.
4. Subsequently, tap the 'Output Method' menu and choose one from the list of options.
5. Configure the other necessary settings based on your preference. For instance, specify the Separator and Character Length you wish to set.
6. If necessary, you may also group the columns according to a certain input. Simply tick the checkbox beside the field that contains the data you want to use.
7. Finally, the Cross Tab tool will process your data and implement the corresponding customization based on your configurations.
