How to Use Green Screen in Clipchamp

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use a green screen clip to place a subject on a different background in Clipchamp.

1. Click Import media and upload your green screen video and a background image or video.
2. Drag the background clip onto the timeline first.
3. Drag the green screen clip onto the track above the background.
4. Select the green screen clip then open the Effects tab on the right panel.
5. Click the Green screen effect and ensure Green is selected in Screen color as the color to remove.
6. Adjust the Screen threshold slider if needed and preview the result.
7. Your subject now appears on the new background.

Note: Green is the most common color used for chroma key because it rarely appears in skin tones and is easy for editing software to detect and remove.
