Uploading a bank statement in Xero lets you manually import transaction data into a bank account for reconciliation. The process takes just a few steps — from selecting your file to completing the import directly from the Xero dashboard.
Steps
- On the Xero dashboard, locate the bank account you want to update and click its Import a Bank Statement button.
- Click Select File and choose the bank statement document from your local storage.
- Click Next to proceed to the column mapping screen.
- Match the column headings in your file to their corresponding Xero fields, then click Next.
- Review the imported details, then click Complete Import to finalise.
- The bank statement is now successfully imported into your selected Xero bank account.
