How to Turn a Figma Layer into Code

This demo shows how to export a Figma layer to code using the Builder.io plugin, turning any design element into production-ready code in seconds. The entire workflow — from selecting a layer to copying the output — takes just a few clicks inside Figma.

Steps

1. In the left-side panel, select the layer you want to convert into code.
2. Navigate to the bottom section of your design canvas and click Actions.
3. Search for Builder.io and select it from the suggested results.
4. Tap Export to Code to trigger the conversion.
5. Click View Code to proceed and review the generated output.
6. Click the Copy to Clipboard icon to copy the converted code and use it in your projects.
