Quick summary
This demo walks you through building a Zapier automation that syncs Facebook Page engagement data — specifically new comments — directly into a Google Sheets spreadsheet as new rows or columns. Once set up, every new comment on your Facebook Page triggers Zapier to log the engagement insight automatically, eliminating manual data collection.
Steps
- Navigate to the left-side panel in Zapier and tap 'Create'.
- Choose 'Zaps' from the list of options.
- Click the 'Trigger' tab to start the integration process.
- Search for 'Facebook Pages' and select it from the recommended matches.
- Click the 'Trigger Event' menu to view available event options.
- Choose 'New Comment' as the trigger event.
- Tap 'Sign In' and log into your active Facebook account.
- Click 'Reconnect' to accept the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Specify the Facebook Page you want to monitor for engagement insights.
- Click 'Continue' to run your input and test the Trigger.
- Click 'Continue' one more time to proceed to the Action setup.
- Search for 'Google Sheets' and select it as the Action app.
- Click the 'Action Event' menu to explore available options.
- Select 'Create Spreadsheet Row' or 'Create Spreadsheet Column' from the options.
- Tap 'Sign In' and log into your Google account.
- Click 'Allow' to grant the necessary permissions to Zapier.
- Fill in the required fields including Google Drive, Spreadsheet, and Worksheet, and optionally add custom notes or dynamic data.
- Click 'Continue' to publish and enable the integration.
- Your Facebook Page engagement insights will now automatically sync to Google Sheets — a new row or column is added each time your page receives a new comment.
