In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to stabilize video in Clipchamp.
- Drag the video onto the timeline.
- Add a small object or text then place it over a point of reference in the video clip to act as guide.
- Move the playhead to the start of the shaky section.
- Use Split to cut the clip into small segments where movement occurs. Frame by frame if you have to.
- Select each segment and reposition or crop the frame to align with your guide.
- Continue adjusting each segment until the movement looks smoother.
- Play the video to preview the result and refine the positioning if needed.
- The video should now appear more stable when played back.
Note: Clipchamp doesn’t have a built-in stabilization function yet. This tutorial is just a workaround. Consider using more advanced editing software.
