In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to save a trimmed version of a video so you can reuse it in future edits.
- Open Clipchamp and create or open a project.
- Click Import media and upload the video you want to trim.
- Drag the video onto the timeline.
- Click the clip to select it.
- Drag the start or end handles of the clip to remove unwanted parts.
- Preview the clip to make sure only the section you want remains.
- Click Export on the top-right corner.
- Choose a video quality and change file name then click Export.
- Download the trimmed video file to your computer.
- You can now import this trimmed video into future projects, making it easier to edit without the extra footage.
Note: Saving trimmed clips separately and with proper labeling is helpful when preparing footage before editing a full video project. It lets you work with shorter clips instead of the entire recording.
