Use this interactive demo to learn how to remove the footer from your PowerPoint slides.

‍

It is very easy to remove the footer from PowerPoint slides. Here’s a short tutorial on how to do it:

  1. Inside the slide canvas of your PowerPoint presentation, go to the top menu bar and click 'Insert'.
  2. After that, find and select 'Header & Footer' from the available options.
  3. Look for 'Footer' in the dialogue box and then uncheck the checkbox beside it.
  4. Once done, click 'Apply to All'.
  5. Finally, the footer will be removed from your PowerPoint slides.

📌 Why this matters

Removing footers gives you complete control over your slide's visual real estate, especially crucial when presenting to clients or at conferences where every pixel counts. Beyond the obvious aesthetic benefits, footer removal becomes essential when repurposing slides across different contexts – turning internal training materials into customer presentations, or adapting branded corporate templates for external use. Clean slides also photograph better for social media sharing and look more professional when converted to PDFs or printed handouts.
