- Record or export your video in vertical format (9:16 aspect ratio) and make sure the runtime is 60 seconds or under before uploading.
- Go to studio.youtube.com and click Create in the top-right corner, then select Upload videos.
- Upload your vertical video file. YouTube will automatically detect it as a Short based on the aspect ratio and duration.
- Add a title of 100 characters or fewer. Include relevant keywords. Add a description and any hashtags you want to associate with the Short.
- Under Audience, select No, it's not made for kids, if the content is business-facing.
- Set visibility to Public, Unlisted, or Private, then click Publish (or Schedule if setting a future date).
