Posting a job on Upwork takes just a few steps: add a job title, define skills and budget, write a description, and hit Post your job to start receiving freelancer proposals. Once live, you can review applicants by their profiles, ratings, and cover letters to find the right hire.
Steps
- On your dashboard, find and select the '+ Post a Job' button.
- Write a clear and concise job title.
- Select the required skills from the options provided.
- Decide if your job is short-term/one-off or a long-term project.
- If short-term, select how long the work will take from the available options.
- Specify the freelancer's experience level required for the job.
- Decide whether to pay hourly or a fixed amount.
- Provide an estimated budget range for the project.
- Write a job description detailing what you need and the key skills you're looking for in a freelancer.
- Click 'Review Job Post' to check your listing before publishing.
- Select 'Post your job' to complete and publish the listing.
- You're done — review incoming freelancer proposals based on profiles, ratings, and cover letters.
