How To Merge Contacts In Pipedrive

Use this interactive demo to learn how to find and merge duplicate contacts in Pipedrive.

Quick summary

Pipedrive's Merge Duplicates feature lets you automatically detect and combine duplicate contacts to keep your CRM data clean and accurate. You can also manually merge any two contacts directly from a contact's detailed view.


Steps

  1. Click the three dotted icon in the left sidebar menu to access More options.
  2. If you don't see Merge duplicates right away, click any visible item from the list to expand the menu.
  3. In the Tools and apps menu, locate and click Merge duplicates.
  4. Review the list of all possible duplicate contacts displayed, then click Preview to verify them.
  5. Confirm you want to proceed and click Merge to combine the duplicate records.
  6. Click Merge once more to confirm your choice.
  7. Open the detailed view of the merged contact to review all applied changes.
  8. To manually merge contacts, go to the three dotted icon in the top right of any contact's detailed view.
  9. Select Merge from the options menu.
  10. Choose the contact you wish to merge with manually.
  11. Select which action to perform to resolve any conflicts between the two records.
  12. Click Preview and then Merge to finalize the manual merge.
