Quick summary
Linking tasks in ClickUp lets you create relationships between related work items, making dependencies and connections visible directly inside each task. Once linked, the connected task appears in the Relationships section, giving your team instant context without switching views.
Steps
- Navigate to the Space, Folder, or List where the task you want to link is located.
- Click on the task to open it.
- On the right side of the task detail panel, click the plus icon to add a relationship.
- Select 'Link Task' from the options that appear.
- Search or browse for the task you want to connect, then click it to link it.
- Confirm the linked task now appears in the task's Relationships section.
