This tutorial shows how to connect Qlik Sense to Google BigQuery using the native BigQuery connector to load data warehouse data for analysis.
Notes:
- Qlik Sense has a native Google BigQuery connector available in the Data Connections panel.
- You need a Google Cloud project with BigQuery enabled and a service account with BigQuery Data Viewer and Job User roles, along with its JSON key file.
- Log in and open your Qlik Sense app, and click Data load editor from the top menu.
- Click Create new connection in the Data connection panel on the right.
- Select Google BigQuery from the list of available connectors.
- Click Authenticate to complete the OAuth flow and grant Qlik access to your Google BigQuery data.
- Copy the authentication code provided by Google and paste it into the Qlik connector dialog, then click Verify.
- Click Create to store the connection. You can now access the saved connection, browse the available tables, and select the ones you want to load into your app.
