How to Integrate Qlik with Amazon Ads

Use this interactive demo to learn how to integrate Qlik with Amazon Ads.

This tutorial shows how to connect Qlik Sense to Amazon Ads using the REST connector to load campaign and performance data for analysis.

Notes:

  • Qlik Sense does not have a native Amazon Ads connector. The REST connector using the Amazon Advertising API is the recommended approach.
  • You need an Amazon Advertising account, a registered Login with Amazon application, and OAuth 2.0 credentials.
  • Amazon Ads API requests typically require a profile ID header in addition to the access token.
  1. Log in and open your Qlik Sense app, and click Data load editor from the top menu.
  2. Click Create new connection in the Data connection panel on the right.
  3. Select REST from the connector list.
  4. Enter an Amazon Advertising API endpoint URL (for example, a sponsored products reporting endpoint).
  5. In the request headers, add an Authorization header with your Amazon access token, then click Test connection to verify the request.
  6. Click Create to store the connection. You can now access the saved connection, browse the available tables, and select the ones you want to load into your app.

📌 Why this matters

Amazon Ads is the dominant platform for product discovery and purchase intent advertising, making its campaign data critical for e-commerce and retail brands. Loading Amazon Ads data into Qlik Sense lets teams analyze sponsored product performance, ad spend, and return on ad spend alongside other business metrics. This is especially useful when correlating ad investment with actual sales data or comparing Amazon performance against other paid channels. Centralizing this data in Qlik gives your team a complete picture of paid performance without relying on Amazon's native reporting interface alone.
