Quick summary

The Canva and Sprout Social integration lets social media managers design, export, and schedule visual content without leaving the Sprout Social platform. Once connected, you can access saved Canva projects directly from the Sprout Social New Post composer and publish or schedule them in a few clicks.

Steps

  1. Open Sprout Social and click the search icon on the right side of the window.
  2. Search for "Integrations" and click on it to open the Integrations settings page.
  3. Locate Canva in the integrations list and click "Connect" to link your account.
  4. You will be taken to the New Post section in Sprout Social where you can begin creating social media content.
  5. Click the camera icon to upload media, then select "Design on Canva" from the options.
  6. Create a new design in Canva or navigate to "Projects" to access your previously saved designs.
  7. When your design is ready, select "Export to Sprout" to send it back to the composer.
  8. Add any accompanying text, hashtags, or links you want to include with your post.
  9. Schedule your post for a future time or choose to publish immediately.
  10. Click "Schedule" to confirm and finalize your post.

📌 Why this matters

Integrating Canva with Sprout Social eliminates the need to switch between tools when creating and publishing social media content. Social media managers can design on-brand visuals in Canva and export them directly into the Sprout Social post composer, saving time and reducing workflow friction. This integration supports faster content production, consistent brand design, and more efficient social media scheduling — all from a single platform. Teams looking to streamline their social media management and design workflow will find this connection between Canva and Sprout Social essential.
