Here’s how to do it:
- Let's start by opening Microsoft Project. Look for the 'Project' tab in the top ribbon menu.
- Now, click on the 'Change Working Time' option. This is where we'll manage calendar exceptions for holidays.
- In the dialog that appears, make sure 'Standard' is selected in the 'For calendar' dropdown menu.
- Next, click on the 'Exceptions' tab below the calendar view. This is where we'll add our holiday entries.
- Enter a descriptive name and set both start and finish dates.
- Now, click the 'Details' button to specify more information about this holiday exception.
- You can set your working times for the holiday. For a full day off, select 'Nonworking'.
- Finally, click 'OK' to save your holiday exception. Repeat these steps for any additional holidays you need to add to your project calendar.
