Importing data into Pipedrive lets you migrate contacts, deals, and records from a spreadsheet in minutes using the built-in Import Data tool. The wizard automatically maps file headers to Pipedrive fields and guides you through duplicate handling before the final import begins.
Steps
- Open the left sidebar menu and click the three-dot icon to access the More options.
- Select the Import Data option from the menu.
- On the Import Data page, click the Upload spreadsheet button in the centre of the screen.
- Click the button and select your file, ensuring it matches the required Pipedrive format and specifications.
- Wait for your file to upload into Pipedrive.
- Pipedrive will auto-detect and map your file headers to the corresponding data fields.
- Fix any errors and manually select new headers or fields where needed.
- Drag existing data fields from the right-hand panel to the correct column positions.
- Verify that all your data is correctly mapped before proceeding.
- Click Next to move to the preview stage.
- Review the data sample to validate accuracy, then click Next again.
- Choose how Pipedrive should handle any duplicate records found during import.
- Click Start import in the bottom-right corner to begin the import process.
- Wait while the import runs — processing time depends on your file size.
- Once complete, review the import summary and choose additional options such as Revert or add more data.
