How to Find Standard Deviation in Microsoft Excel

Here's how to do it:

1. Click on the cell where you want the standard deviation to appear.
2. For a sample standard deviation, type =STDEV( and choose STDEV.S from the suggested formulas.
3. Click on the Column B2 cell to select it and drag the selection point down till the last cell of our data.
4. Press Enter to display the calculated standard deviation in the selected cell.
