How to Export Jira Tickets to Excel

Use this interactive demo to learn how to export Jira issues into an Excel CSV file.

Quick summary

Exporting Jira tickets to Excel lets teams analyze, share, and manipulate issue data outside of Jira. Using the built-in Export Excel CSV option, you can download all fields for any filtered set of Jira issues in seconds.


Steps

  1. Go to Filters at the top of your Jira project and select View all issues.
  2. Filter your issues by Project to narrow down the results you want to export.
  3. Locate Export issues in the top right corner of the issues page.
  4. Select Export Excel CSV (all fields) from the export options dropdown.
  5. Review the List View of your filtered issues before confirming the download.
  6. Open your downloaded Excel file and edit or analyze the issue data as required.
