Here’s how to do it:
- Open your Microsoft Project file and make sure you're in the 'Gantt Chart Format' view, which should be the default view.
- Click on the 'File' tab in the ribbon menu at the top-left corner of your Microsoft Project window.
- In the File menu, select the 'Export' option from the left sidebar.
- Look for and click on 'Create PDF/XPS Document' option. This will preserve your Gantt chart's visual timeline exactly as it appears in Project.
- In the ‘Save As’ dialog box that appears, choose a location for your file, give it a meaningful name, and ensure PDF is selected as the file type. Then click 'OK' to save.
- Congrats! Your PDF will open automatically in your default PDF viewer. Check that all timeline bars, task names, and dates are clearly visible.
