Use this interactive demo to learn how to convert your Airtable records into a PDF using the PDF.co extension.

Quick summary

Exporting Airtable records to PDF is done by installing the PDF.co PDF Generator extension directly inside your Airtable base. Once configured with your API key, you can select a source table and PDF template, then generate and download PDFs instantly.

Steps

  1. In the top-right corner of your Airtable base, click Extensions.
  2. Tap Add an Extension to open the extension marketplace.
  3. Search for PDF.co, locate the PDF.co PDF Generator in the results, and click the Add button next to it.
  4. Click Add Extension to install the PDF.co extension into your Airtable base.
  5. Enter your PDF.co API key into the input field, then click Save Settings to authenticate.
  6. Select the source table and the PDF template you want to use, then click Run.
  7. Your selected Airtable records will be exported to PDF instantly.

📌 Why this matters

Natively, Airtable does not offer a built-in way to export records as formatted PDF documents, making it difficult for teams that need to share data in a professional, print-ready format. The PDF.co PDF Generator extension bridges this gap by letting users generate polished PDFs directly from their Airtable base without leaving the platform or writing any code. This matters for operations, sales, and project teams who regularly need to turn structured Airtable data — such as invoices, reports, or proposals — into shareable documents. By streamlining the Airtable-to-PDF workflow, teams save time, reduce manual formatting errors, and deliver consistent, branded output at scale.
