  2. Go to 'More Settings' and click 'Advanced Settings'.
  3. Click on the drop down arrow beside 'Settings'.
  4. Select 'Document Management Settings'.
  5. Select 'Enable server-based SharePoint integration'.
  6. Click 'Next' in the wizard
  7. Select 'Online' as the location for your SharePoint sites and click 'Next'.
  8. Input the URL of your SharePoint Online site and click 'Next'.
  9. If validation is successful, click 'Enable'.

📌 Why this matters

Server-based SharePoint integration transforms how your teams collaborate on customer data by eliminating the frustrating back-and-forth between systems. You can attach documents directly to records, edit files in real-time, and maintain version control without leaving Dynamics 365.

Beyond convenience, this creates a single source of truth that automatically syncs changes across platforms. When sales reps update proposals or service teams share technical documents, everyone works from the latest version, reducing errors and accelerating deal cycles while maintaining compliance audit trails.
