Quick summary
Skip logic in SurveyMonkey lets you route respondents to different questions or sections based on their answers, creating a more relevant and personalized survey experience. By applying conditional rules to individual questions, you can reduce survey fatigue and collect higher-quality data.
Steps
- Navigate to your desired survey and click on the ellipsis icon next to the survey title.
- From the drop-down menu, select Edit survey.
- Find the question to which you want to apply skip logic, click on it, and select Logic.
- Select a response and assign a rule to it — for example, if the respondent selects YES, skip to End of Survey.
- After setting the rule, select the question you want to jump to based on the respondent's choice — a specific question, a section, or the end of the survey.
- Once skip logic is configured, save the changes by clicking Save.
- Click Preview survey to test your skip logic and ensure it functions as expected.
- By following these steps, you can add skip logic to create a customized survey experience based on respondent answers.
