Quick summary

Designing a SharePoint page involves using the built-in Page Editor to add web parts, section templates, and stock images via the Toolbox, then customizing layout and background settings through the Properties panel before publishing. This step-by-step process lets SharePoint users create polished, structured intranet pages without any coding knowledge.

Steps

  1. Inside the Page Editor's main dashboard, go to the right-side panel and tap 'Toolbox'.
  2. The Toolbox panel will open and offer various options including web parts, stock images, and ready-made section templates to help you build your page design.
  3. Browse the available selections and click the design asset you wish to add to your page.
  4. Head to the main dashboard and locate the floating bar above the newly added design asset to access quick customization options.
  5. For further customization, return to the right-side panel and tap the 'Properties' option.
  6. Use the Properties panel to make your desired changes, including specifying your preferred Layout, Background Details, and other formatting settings.
  7. Once done, navigate to the top-right corner and click 'Publish' to save and go live with your new SharePoint page design.
