How to Delete a Subtask in Jira

‍

Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to delete a subtask in Jira

  1. If you don't see a 'Delete' option for your subtasks, go to the Gear icon on the top right and select Projects.
  2. Click on the three-dot menu next to your project and hit Project Settings.
  3. Head over to People in the left sidebar.
  4. Click on Add people on the top-right.
  5. Add yourself or whoever needs to have deleting rights. Assign the 'Administrator' role.
  6. You will get the prompt saying, "New people added."
  7. Head back to the table and click on the three-dot menu on the subtask you want to delete.
  8. You will now find the 'Delete' option enabled.
  9. Hit Delete again to confirm.
