How to Define Experiment Goals in Amplitude
It is very easy to define experiment goals on Amplitude. Here’s a short tutorial on how to do it:
- Inside Amplitude's Experiment Editor, find the Goal tab and click its corresponding 'Pencil' button.
- After that, go to the left-side panel and click the 'Define the Goal' menu.
- Tap 'Create a Custom Metric'. If you already have metrics in place, tap 'Select Metric' instead and pick the option you prefer to use.
- Following that, go to the Metric Editor panel. Tap the Title field and type your preferred metric name. At the same time, add a short description right below it.
- Specify your preferred 'Metric Type' and 'Event'. Simply tap their respective menus and pick your preferred options.
- Once done, tap 'Save and Close'.
- Review the goal, then tap 'Save'.
- After completing these steps, your experiment goals in Amplitude will be defined accordingly.
