WordPress has a built-in image cropping tool inside the Media Library that lets you trim any uploaded image without a third-party plugin. Using the Edit Image feature, you can select a crop area and save the changes in just a few clicks.
Steps
- In the left-hand menu, navigate to Media > Library.
- Find the image you want to crop and click on it to open the Attachment Details window.
- Click the Edit Image button located under the image preview.
- Click the Crop button on the left-hand side of the editor.
- Click and drag to create a selection box over the area you want to crop.
- Once satisfied with your selection, click Apply Crop to confirm it.
- Click Save Edits to apply and save all changes to the image.
